Between 1989 and 1992, seven young travellers disappeared while moving through New South Wales. Their remains were later found in Belanglo State Forest. In 1996, Ivan Milat was convicted of all seven murders.

For years, Hazel Vidler sent cards to her son. Around 1979 or 1980, the cards stopped. Decades later, a coronial finding confirmed Hazel had died, but could not determine where, how, or in what circumstances.

Bennett Campbell Dominick disappeared after travelling to the Coocoran opal fields near Lightning Ridge on 10 January 2015. The NSW State Coroner later found that he died on or shortly after that date, but the cause and manner of death could not be determined.
